Valhalla Partners Uniting The Prairies (UP22)

Valhalla Private Capital is excited to partner this year’s Uniting The Prairies event UP22 next month – a two-day event which brings together top Prairie-based startups, global investors and tech leaders in a bid to further evolve the Prairie tech community.

Taking place in Saskatoon on 4-5 May, the in-person event pairs selected startups with relevant investors and mentors to establish meetings and private networking experiences.

The event will be attended by Valhalla team members Teruel Carrasco, vice president of entrepreneur engagement; and chapter presidents Evelyn Cerda, Mark Mitchell and Marco Donadeo

Speakers at this year’s event include Jason Atkins, founder and CEO of 360 Insights; Jordan Boesch, co-founder and CEO of 7Shifts; Katherine Regnier, founder and CEO of Coconut Software and Midia Shikh Hassan, strategy manager at Riipen.

Speaking of her experience at a previous version of the event, Serese Selanders, founder and CEO of SolusGuard, said: “Networking with investors and mentors is critical to the success of a startup. Uniting the Prairies is a way to ensure impactful and meaningful networking can still take place, even in a pandemic.”

Likewise Anthony Nagendraraj, founder and CEO of Spontivly, explained: “Uniting the Prairies is the perfect event for any founder who is looking to make new connections, get feedback, and connect with fellow founders, mentors, and investors in the Prairie tech ecosystem.”

General tickets are available from $99 via United The Prairies’ website (now sold out), and event partners include CoLabs, Cultivator, Harvest, Platform Calgary, Startup Edmonton, Startup TNT, TechMB, amii, Creative Destruction Lab, Foresight and North Forge.
