The latest installment of Valhalla Private Capital’s Ask An Expert series saw Aly Madhavji, managing director at Blockchain Founders Fund; Jeffrey Manner, general partner at Weave VC; and Dhawal Shah, co-founder of Frontier; discussed how best for beginners to approach web3 and the metaverse as the digital world continues to evolve.
Speaking with moderator
Mark Mitchell, Edmonton Chapter President at Valhalla Private Capital, Aly Madhavji encouraged attendees to spend one dollar on
DeFi and explore the ways in which its processes may simplify as technological infrastructure are finessed.
Likewise, Jeffrey Manner urged those interested to “play with different aspects” of blockchain technology in a bid to better understand its inner workings and nuances.
On the topic, he elaborated: “If you want to understand it even more, give some kid a hundred bucks, have them play with it for a day and report back to you on what they did.
“For them this is just natural,” he concluded.
Dhawal Shah also remarked that “trying things out” is the most effective way of learning about blockchain technology in its most recent incarnation.
If you focus yourself on the subject and you start learning,” he said, “I can assure you this is going to be probably one of the most rewarding and enriching learning experiences you would have.”
