After two-and-a-half years at Valhalla Private Capital, Vancouver chapter president Camille Hunt is leaving the Valhalla team to pursue her passions as an entrepreneur.
With qualifications from the
University of Otago,
Yale University and
UBC Sauder School of Business, Camille began her professional career in 2010 as a customer service representative at New Zealand’s
Kiwibank, where she worked for two years before joining Australia’s
Elite Physiotherapy. Prior to this, she spent several years working in hospitality from barista to line cook.
After moving to Canada, Camille held roles at
Vancouver Coastal Health and the
Canadian Alliance of Physical Therapists, as well as a startup consultant position at
Entrepreneurship @ University of British Columbia, where she has also worked as a volunteer mentor. Other volunteer roles held by Camille include positions at
Vancouver General Hospital and
Coastal Church.
Camille joined Valhalla Private Capital in January 2020, bringing more than a decade of experience in the innovation and healthcare industries to the table.
Following the birth of her son Julian, Camille launched
First Course Foods - a baby food company designed for babies aged six months and above.
Speaking of her shift from angel investor to entrepreneur, Camille explained via Linkedin: “The support from the Vancouver food community has been incredible, and I've been able to connect with some supportive and wise folks who have been generous with their advice.”
We wish Camille all the best in her future endeavors.
